The recent trade review got me looking at last years auction results and I figured its time for our first Auction All-star team. Hopefully it will be useful to the new owners, in letting them know what an auction can contain. I think the shortened 2020 season may have led to a slightly deeper auction, as well i believe this was the first auction where teams were not allowed to acquire extra cash and keep more salary. Here are your Auction Allstars!
This was just a quick run through so feel free to let me know if I missed someone. We see some veterans (Posey, Votto, Belt etc.)that the league had little hopes for that came up big, we see some young kids who had their first decent seasons(France, Candelario, Walsh). Add up these salaries and you have your self a decent team. Bench players include Chris Taylor $20, Robbie Grossman $16, Andrew Mccutchen $31, and a lot of bullpen arms i didn’t want to dive into. Questions?
